The Hare and the Tortoise
I choose this book because I like series. This story is Harry Hare loved running more than anything in the world. He always runs from morning to evening. So, everyone said ’he was the fastest hare in the forest. Harry was sure of it. Also, Tom Torroise worked with Harry. He didn’t think Harry was so special. Harry was always laughing at him. One day, Harry ran to work in record time. He said ‘ I must be the fastest creature in the world.’ Harry couldn’t believe it when Tom Tortoise plodded over. ‘Are you serious?’ asked Harry. You wouldn’t even get star started.’ For the few days, the animals talked about nothing else. The story was in all the newspapers. It was even on television too. Harry trained extra hard. He work up early and he runs from morning to evening. He knew he would win, but he wanted to win by miles. He chose a good long course for the race. Tom Tortoise didn’t seem to be training at all. Perhaps he thought there was no point.
At last, Saturday arrived. All Harry’s friend came to watch the race. And everyone thought Harry would win. Tom’s friends were there too but everyone didn’t look so happy. Saturday was a beautiful day. When the race will start, Harry and Tom were already at the start line. The race is started. Harry raced off and disappearerd at once. Everyone laughed as poor Tom which plodded over the line. As soon as running, he rest beside a tree. After all his early morning training, Harry was very tired. He thought that he would still win the race easily. Tom Tortoise was very slowly but he went o his way. His friends cheer him. Nobody saw Harry sleeping under his tree. Hours passed. The sun was setting and the air was cool. Harry wake up and remembered the race. He runs and see the finish line now. But everyone were already cheering. At that moment harry saw a small, brown shell coming up the line. Harry couldn’t catch up Tom. Tom Tortoise had won.
This story means you thought if you aren’t careful, you would be beaten. I like this story. When I was kindergarten, I read this book. This book could teach for children easily.
